Born and raised in Malinalco, Mexico, Leonardo studied Graphic Design at the Istituto Europeo Di Design (IED) in Madrid, Spain. During his academic studies he created, with
a group of artists, a multi-disciplinary design studio called MaliArts. This network of artists is specialized in illustration, print design, animation and photography. After working in a graphic desing studio in Madrid, Leonardo returned to Mexico City to work as a freelancer.

Leonardo's work finds its inspiration in nature and the re-interpretation of everyday events. His work combines sustaintable design principles with his own aesthetic language which he adapts to each project. Also, an important part in his creative process is the experimentation with different visual techniques like painting, photography, video, etc.
